Besides suspension technology, Trek incorporated a tapered, 1.125- to 1.5-inch headtube. Since Fox does not yet make a 40 fork with the standard, the DH uses a reducer to accommodate the un-tapered 1.125-inch steerer.  |  Photo: Matt Pacocha
