Cervélo TestTeam is pleased to announce the signing of Simon Gerrans of Australia, Martin Reimer of Germany, Inigio Cuesta and Xavier Florencio of Spain as well as Gabriel Rasch of Norway.

Simon Gerrans, a former swimmer, runner and motorcycle racer, only turned to cycling by chance (and in hindsight, good fortune) after injuring his knee when he was seventeen in the Victorian motocross titles. A pro cyclist since 2003, the twenty-eight-year old Australian won a stage victory at the 2008 Tour de France, as well as a third place stage finish during the 2005 edition of the Tour. Gerrans rode this past season for Team Credit Agricole.

Martin Reimer is one of the major young talents in Germany. The twenty-one-year-old native of Cottbus won the 2008 German U23-national road race title. In 2008 he rode for the Continental Team LKT Team-Brandenburg.

Inigio Cuesta is an established rider having ridden as a pro cyclist since 1994 The thirty-nine-year Cuesta won a stage victory in the 2000 Dauphiné Libéré as well as a stage victory in the 2005 Volta Ciclista a Catalunya. Since 2006 he has ridden for Team CSC.

Xavier Florencio has been a pro cyclist since 2001. The twenty-eight-year-old Spanish athlete won a stage in the 2002 Tour de l’Avenir and as well as winning in 2006, the one-day-race Clasicå San Sebastian. This past season Florencio rode for Team Bouygues Télécom.

Gabriel Rasch kicked off his career in 2002 with Team Krone. The thirty-two-year-old rider from Honefoss (NOR) claimed victory in the GP Möbel Alvissen and Ringerike Grand Prix in 2006. His biggest success to date was his overall victory in the 2007 Rhône-Alpes Isère Tour. This past season, Rasch was under contract to Team Credit Agricole.
