When it comes to weight, Edge Composites wants nothing to do with it for the new 25 Tubular wheelset, the company’s premium climbing wheelset, with a low aero 24mm profile.
The all-carbon 25 Tubular is available in 18, 20, 24, and 28 spoke holes. Edge Composites believe that the carbon braking surface dissipates heat efficiently and stands up to the durability of an aluminum rim, minus the weight.
$750 per rim (including nipples and valve extender and 195g each).
The 25 Tubulars are as a rim with nipples and valve extender for $750 per rim; $2,350 as a wheelset with DT240 hubs at 975 grams; $2,850 as a wheelset with DT190 hubs at 925 grams; or complete with Power Tap SLC+ ANT and DT240 front hub for $3,350.
