Garmin-Slipstream’s sprinter Tyler Farrar will be looking for stage wins at the Vuelta a Espana starting Saturday, and the team is sending a squad of all-rounders and sprinters to help him get his first grand tour stage win.

Farrar is coming off a string of successes at the Tour de France and the Eneco Tour. Team CEO Jonathan Vaughters says he expects the success to continue.

“I think the Vuelta team will exceed and excel,” Vaughters said in a team statement Thursday. “They will live up to the high benchmark set by our Tour team. There are some novices and some comeback stories in our Vuelta team, but I think their performance will be way beyond what it appears it will be on paper.”

Team Garmin-Slipstream for the Vuelta:

  • Tom Danielson
  • Julian Dean
  • Tyler Farrar
  • Ryder Hesjedal
  • Dan Martin
  • Martijn Maaskant
  • Christian Meier
  • David Millar
  • Svein Tuft
