I'm a former cat 2 roadie and still ride extremely strong but someone pointed out that they noticed that my left knee makes an arc from viewing behind me. Never noticed any pain and doesn't effect power output even after riding over 110,000 miles. can you discuss recommendations for a slight leg length difference?

Spokewrench: Looks like the customer is already seeing a physical therapist that understands what is going on. The PT has the skills to determine if he is OK prior to the bike fit. I would think the dude is already in good hands. Besides, how many MD's specialize in bike fitting? PT's are more likely to get it.

Hi Team,
I am amazed at the lack of insight in the above article. I have been riding for years with a dropped right hip, as a pro triathlete this really limited my TT ability as I was unable to find comfort and stay in the TT position for extended periods as well as developing server lower back pain later in my carer, thankfully I saw a big fit legend who lives in Australia, comes to the US on ocassion, I was a rider in constant lower back pain and through radical thinking and change I have found my power, and comfort to have improved out of site. I cant thank Steve Hogg more, no lower bakc pain, can sleep at night. I would absolutely recommend people to see this guy, many pros have seen him and all I can say the proof is in the pudding.

Why would you suggest that a fitter continue a fit with this customer without a doctors recommendation? This fitter needs confirmation that it is not a ruptured disc or less serious condition but just as painful piriformis syndrome.

I have the same problem with the hip but the rest of the position on my bike is good - no issues, im comfortable and roughly match the 90 degrees you were referring to. Because my right leg feels shorter I tend to favor it by sitting more on the right side of the saddle which means I cant fully reach with left leg (foot isnt parallel, heal is slightly up).

My question is, do I stack my left cleat so that they are equal or do I stack my right cleat to correct it? I am a Cat 1 cyclist racing in Europe and don't have access to the proper facilities here. Thanks.
