Giove pleads guilty to drug charges

Former world downhill champion Melissa “Missy” Giove entered a guilty plea Tuesday on conspiracy charges relating to marijuana smuggling ring.

The 37-year-old Giove was arrested along with 26-year-old Tamara Geagly and 30-year-old Eric Canori near Saratoga Springs, New York, in June. Drug Enforcement Administration agents seized more than 300 pounds of marijuana when the arrests were made.

Giove agreed to cooperate with prosecutors, who appear to have agreed to recommending a reduced sentence in exchange. Giove is scheduled to be sentenced on March 25 and, even with a plea agreement, still faces up to five years in prison.

She will get zero respect in the joint because she's a fink and she could have made 40g+ a year doing the bike industry/coaching trainer gig , run some clinics, teach gym, train rich people, use your status for something.

    Too Bad the Missile got busted.
    Hung out with her in Hawaii during the 90's at the Mountain Tour and she helped us out with our dh skills at Waiamea Falls and was a blast.
    Her and Miles Rockwell were quite a team now they can share grow op stories.
    Hopefully we can get her doing some DH camps in the Whistler Bike PRK WHEN SHE MAKES BAIL.
