Stybar wins Spanish World Cup round

Zdenek Stybar (Telenet-Fidea) won the fifth round of the UCI Cyclocross World Cup on Sunday in Igorre, Spain.

Belgians Niels Albert (BKCP-Powerplus) and Sven Nys (Landbouwkrediet-Colnago) finished second and third. American Jonathan Page (Planet Bike) cracked the top 10 with an eighth-place finish.

Albert, the world cyclocross champion, retained his lead in the World Cup series with 370 points, just five points ahead of Stybar. Klaas Vantornout (Sunweb-ProJob), fourth on the day, sits third overall with 279 points.

The sixth round of the World Cup will be December 20 in Kalmthout, Belgium.
