i guess i should have put a smiley face or something after my comment… i was trying to be funny. although, when i am in the hills of eastern ky, it is hard to fight back the dueling banjos that want to creep into your head. i tell myself 'not in kentucky…not in kentucky…not in kentucky…' almost like dorothy in wizard of oz…'theres no place like home…theres no place like home…'

that was tennessee / georgia…not kentucky. the banjos you hear here are the lovely sounds of bluegrass music and are not followed by making you squeal like a pig.

This New England yankee (who lived for a spell in the Louisville region) can’t wait to enjoy a large helping of his favorite sport, served with ample sides of gorgeous landscapes, tasty libations, music, and top notch college basketball.
Though VT and MA will not be hosting the event, at least native sons Jamey and J-Pow will be peaking then…!
I can’t wait.

This is great news and increases the legitimacy of American cyclocross. Now we just need to make it an Olympic winter sport…

As a native to Louisville I am both shocked and amazed!! I can no wait to actually attend a world championship cycling event and here in my hometown. I hope this can help wake up the rest of the city and state to just how big cycling has become and use this incredible event to help promote cycling and more importantly help educate cyclists and motorists alike on how to share the roads!
