The best thing about GH is, it’s not all about ‘George’. He is the consumate team-player and keeps the good of the team in mind above all else. Thanks for being ‘selfless’ in such a selfish world. Best of luck with team BMC.

thankyou for the comment, fyi new blog entry covers challenge to Olympic Athletes to promote their Paralympic counterparts!

At athens & Torino talking direct to the athletes received a sympathetic hearing but "twittered requests may not be as well received if read and time taken to follow link.

I find it takes at least a couple of hours (more like 5-6) to get a post up, especially given time differences etc., which can only be expected since every post apparently has to be verified before going up. Which makes me wonder why posts that have been approved and gone up are later deemed unfit and taken down again… Anyway, best of luck promoting sport for disabled/physically challenged athletes, and George, “break a leg” at Paris-Roubaix. You've got it coming!

Class is the most used single word used to decribe George and I agree.I’m not much for waiting in line for autographs but once got him autograph, with a requested quote, a Carnac poster at their booth at Interbike.I told him and Phil Ligget,(another class act!) a quick story about a race I had been in that George won at 18 years old.They both listened like they knew me and were interested in what I had to say.To this day that poster is my most prized piece of cycling memorobilia.Thanks George and Phil.
