Mountain bikers have been — among other DVD offerings — Kranked, Smacked-Down and Drifted, and all of that with a decidedly heavy dose of testosterone.

Now there’s an offering from the other side of the hormonal spectrum: Awesome Land: Women of Dirt. The new film from Bones Over Metal highlights women shredding all forms of mountain biking. Riders staring in the film are: Tammy Donahugh, Stephanie Nychka, Cierra Smith, Emily Johnston, Lisa Myklak, Jill Kintner, Leana Gerrard, Dawn Cashen, Katrina Strand, Kathy Pruitt, and Darcy Turenne.

The movie premiered in Seattle in early February and then will make the rounds at showings in California, Florida, Oregon and Canada. Those shows will mainly be fundraisers for local ride groups and advocates.

Specific showing dates have been set for Awesome Land: Women of Dirt. It will be shown at Ray’s Indoor Bike Park in Cleveland, Ohio during the Ray’s Angels Women’s Weekend, which starts Feb. 19.

The Santa Cruz-Bay Area premiere in California is set for Feb. 28, and will be two-day bike festival.

The Awesome Land: Women of Dirt is also available on DVD.
