Pardilla wins Ruta kickoff

Sergio Pardilla (Carmiooro) won the first stage of the Vuelta a Andalucia Ruta Ciclista del Sol on Sunday.
The kickoff to the five-stage race was a 159.2km leg from Jaen to Puerto de La Guardia.
Pardilla took the win by nine seconds ahead of Jurgen Van de Broeck (Omega Pharma-Lotto) with Damiano Cunego (Lampre) third at 13 seconds.
He will wear the leader’s jersey in Monday’s Stage 2, a 182.2km race from Otura to Córdoba.
