Not really. Ricardo Ricco dumped his girlfriend (and their newborn baby) shortly after she was found positive in a cyclocross race. He said in an italian interview that she embarrased him and dirtied his name.
And then, she has been using all the Italian cycling websites to beg him to come back...

I remember watching that race. There was no joy on his face when he won. My wife and I commented that we had seen that look before on the faces of Piepoli, Rico and the like. It's the look of knowing that you've earned an empty victory because you're gonna get caught cheating. Shame shame!

what a shame two more clean cyclists missed out on their opportunity to stand on the WC podium. Eventhough they will receive their respective medals it won't be the same.

The second I read the brothers went 1, 2 for the win, I said to myself they are doping and what do you know? They are caught doing just that. What a shame, even with the threat of suspension and the shame, they still decided it was worth the risk. This problem is not just in cycling and at the pro level, it’s at every level for all sports, pro, age groupers, college, and even little leagues, and pop warner football. The pressure to make millions and the fame that comes from being a winner is too great.
