You know back in the 1900-1925 period that is how they used to do the tour and other races. 1921 Paris tours was 429ks ( that's Like 255 mi. ) on 30 lb bikes ! and carrying all there stuff too. Winners time was just under 15hrs and last place (8th out of 80 starters ) was 4:30somthing behind ( that's 4hrs and 30 something min BEHIND ). I would like to see some stages like that today, to at least commemorate what our early “Hardmen” used to endure.

My favorite scene of Jens came after the '04 TdG stage up Brasstown Bald…he outsprinted Lance for 2nd behind Grajales, then proceeded to crack open a Beck's while taking on interviews – classic character.

I don't even think he needs a car. Just a 54×11 and some red meat.I am sure another team car could carry his sleeping bag and pack.Must be an old MTB racer.
