Over the years I’ve heard more and more about how Ashland, Oregon is a trail haven with amazing singletrack flowing through giant, mossy evergreens for untold and uncrowded miles.

So when SRAM combined its 2011 product launch with the 12-mile Ashland Super D on the weekend of June 12-13, there wasn’t a donut’s chance in a squad car that anyone else was going from singletrack.com but me.

Skipping the usual fleet of random demo bikes to showcase their revamped XO line, as well as some Rock Shox, Avid and Truvativ goodies thrown in for true saturation, SRAM opted instead to have me fly my bike out early to switch out almost everything save the seat collar and my roached grips (not sure what they did with my bell though; very disappointing).

So, taking out the initial awkwardness of becoming familiar with a new bike before being able to concentrate on how the parts being showcased actually perform, by the end of the weekend I’ll have some great feedback on the 2011 line to share with everyone.

Until then, here’s some photos to keep you busy.
