I really like Menchov and Sanchez — different styles of riders but fun to watch when they go for it.

I respect your opinion, but I feel differently. I think Saxo and Astana have been much better teams in this race. A team that puts its GC rider at the front often does so by “using up” most of the other riders in the process. When a guy like Cancellara does monster pulls ahead of the climbs to keep the pace up, it is natural that he will lose more time on the climbs then if instead conserved energy.At the end of the day, the best RS rider is in tenth place right now. And although I like guys like Horner, I really can't say this is the best team in the race. I do agree that it was unfortunate that they were not invited to the Vuelta.

And both of those guys are pretty crummy at the TT compared to Ryder. He's got a legitimate chance to move up to 6th place.

also lets not forget the battle for the lanterne rouge, currently held by bert grabsch who is 2:01 behind adriano malori, former world champion up agaisnt former european under 23 champion, should be interesting!

We should consult the octopus to see who will win, Spain, or Ned. Wait, the octopus already picked Spain, so Sanchez stays in third! It may be complicated by the fact that the guy on the Ned team is Russian. Ill have to consult my oracle guidebook on that one.

that was a nasty crash. we never got to see it on TV, but in the aftermath, it sure looked like he was unconscious. to come back and have the stage that he did after that, was just amazing.

I believe that Andy Schleck's huge effort on the Tourmalet, has given him enough of separation between him and Sanchez and Menchov, to keep his second place in this year's TDF. But, anyone can have a bad day, even Contador.

what are the odds that both Menchov and Sanchez put in huge efforts tomorrow and over take Schleck for 2nd and 3rd. I cannot see Contador loosing much time to anyone, but if Andy has a bad day he could drop from top three.

Looking forward to tomorrow's long time trial that will decide the placings on the podium, Alberto Contador and Andy Schleck should finish this year's TDF, first and second. The race for the for third and the last spot on the podium, is now between Sanchez and Menchov. Unfortunately, for Sanchez. I do not believe 21 seconds is enough of a difference to keep Menchov from overtaking him on a long time trial.

Yesterday on the Tourmalet, the guys form Radio Shack managed to increased their advantage over the guys from Caisse d"Epargne in the team classification. I believe that in the time trail, the guys from Radio Shack, will even increase their advantage in the team classification. This is not small feat and it has a great significance. It means that Lance Amstrong will finish on the podium in Paris, standing side by side, the rest of his Radio Shack teammates. It also means that this team is the best stage race team in cycling. Do you hear that, Mr. Guillen? (That's my shot at La Vuelta's organizer who decided not invite Radio Shack to this year's La Vuelta)

Now, this team should be looking forward to tomorrow's long time trail to Pauillac. Lance, Levi, if he is feeling better, and Jani, who I hope has been saving himself for this day, and he is not struggling to complete his first TDF, should have a chance for some TDF "glory". Their main competition will come from very good time trialists that have been saving themselves for this day. They are Tony Martin, Bert Grabsch, David Miller, and Americans, David Zabriskie and Brent Bookwalter. Two other riders will try to get some glory before the end of the tour, will be Michael Rogers and Bradley Wiggins. And, of course, Fabian Cancellara is also, one of the favorites. But, wouldn't it be amazing if Lance, Levi or Jani can win the time trial to Pauillac.

I don't know who to root for — both seem like tough, classy guys who deserve to be there.
