Jack Bobridge wins stage 5 of the 2010 Eneco Tour.

Jack Bobridge (Garmin-Transitions) rode to victory in stage 5 of the Eneco Tour of Benelux on Sunday.

The 21-year-old Australian spent the day on the attack with an eight-man group and left his breakaway mates behind just before the finish of the 212km stage, crossing the line alone a few seconds ahead of Ruben Perez Moreno (Euskaltel-Euskadi) and Thomas De Gendt (Topsport Vlaanderen-Mercator).

“I’m still learning,” said Bobridge. “This is the greatest achievement of my career.”

HTC-Columbia’s Tony Martin retained the overall jersey going into Monday’s sixth stage, a 205.6km leg that includes the Mur de Huy, familiar to fans of the Flèche Wallonne.

Koos Moerenhout (Rabobank) sits second overall at 10 seconds back with Edvald Boasson Hagen (Team Sky) third at 1:24.
