Saxo scores one-two win at Denmark Tour, Breschel grabs lead

Breschel, Fuglsang score a one-two punch at home.

The Danish Saxo Bank team took over control of its home race in style on Friday with Matti Breschel winning the third stage and grabbing the overall lead at the Tour of Denmark.

Breschel’s teammate and compatriot Jakob Fuglsang finished second on the stage and moved into second on GC. Fuglsang is the defending champion of the Danish Tour, having won in both 2008 and 2009.

Breschel and Fuglsang finished 17 seconds ahead of Joost Van Leijen (Vacansoleil) who now sits in third place overall.
The Tour of Denmark finishes on Sunday.
