Peter Stetina and Jeannie Longo win prologue at 2010 Steamboat Springs Stage Race

Peter Stetina (Garmin-Transitions) and Jeannie Longo (Vital Plus) won the kickoff to the 2010 Steamboat Springs Stage Race on Friday in Steamboat Springs, Colorado.

Stetina won the 10km Aspire prologue time trial in 12 minutes and 19 seconds, five seconds faster than Greg Krause (Groove Subaru). Marc de Maar (UnitedHealthcare-Maxxis) was third at 10 seconds.

Longo won in 13:59, 43 seconds ahead of Megan Hottman (Treads.com-DFT). Angela des Cognets (Primal-Rocky Mountain-Colavita) was third at  57 seconds.

The Steamboat Springs Stage Race continues Saturday with stage 1, the Marabou Ranch Circuit Race.
