RadioShack unveils new jersey design for 2011

In advance of next week’s Tour Down Under, the RadioShack team has unveiled a new jersey for the 2011 season.

In a press release issued Wednesday, the team said it was already “known for making some bold statements with their race jerseys.”

The team’s new jersey still relies on its title sponsor’s  red and white color scheme and will also  prominently feature Twitter, the team’s  social media partner.

“Since the inception of Team RadioShack, we’ve relied heavily on Twitter to help keep our fans around the world updated and engaged, so we’re excited to embrace them on our 2011 kit,” said Lee Applbaum executive vice president and chief marketing officer for RadioShack.
