Daniele Pietropolli wins 2011 Trofeo Laigueglia

Daniele Pietropolli (Lampre-Farnese Vini) sprinted to victory in the Trofeo Laigueglia on Saturday.

Pietropolli won the 183.8km race around Laigueglia in 4:42:20 ahead of Simone Ponzi (Liquigas-Doimo) and Angel Vicioso Arcos (Androni Giocattoli-Serramenti PVC Diquigiovanni).

Liquigas rider Ivan Basso rounded out the top 10, all of whom finished in the same time, nearly a minute ahead of the peloton.
