Italy names world road race team

Italy coach Paolo Bettini on Tuesday named his squad for the Cycling World Championships in Copenhagen from September 19-25.
The group consists of Manuel Belletti, Sacha Modolo (both Colnago-CSF), Daniele Bennati (Leopard Trek), Oscar Gatto, Giovanni Visconti (both Farnese Vini-Neri), Francesco Gavazzi (Lampre-ISD), Daniel Oss, Elia Viviani (both Liquigas-Cannondale), Luca Paolini (Katusha) and Matteo Tosatto (Saxo Bank-SunGard).
Marco Pinotti (HTC-Highroad) and Adriano Malori (Lampre-ISD) have also been included in the squad for the time trial.
