PARIS, France (AFP) — French rider Cyril Lemoine was rushed to hospital after a bad fall during the Mallorca Challenge cycling race in Spain, his Saur-Sojasun team confirmed on Tuesday.

The Breton outfit said “the news is reassuring” after Lemoine underwent emergency surgery overnight Monday, after breaking two ribs and bruising his lungs and kidney.
