Langkawi video with Craig Lewis: A cautionary tale

PANDAN INDAH, Malaysia (VN) – He may be sitting pretty in the top fifteen overall, yet Champion System’s Craig Lewis is nevertheless taking a cautionary approach to when it comes to evaluating his chances at the 2012 Tour de Langkawi.

The day before the queen stage, the 27-year-old from Moore, South Carolina told VeloNews he was buoyed by his ride in the opening time trial in Putrajaya where he finished 15th, 1:58 behind winner Dave Zabriskie, and on Wednesday’s stage to Genting Highlands is looking to finish atop the 1,679-meter-high summit in the top 20.

Lewis also talks about being one of the last riders from HTC-High Road to find employment, his ongoing rehabilitation from his crash at last year’s Giro that broke his femur, and being one of a few leaders at this ambitious China-based project.
