Pierrick Fédrigo (FDJ-BigMat) won the final stage of Critérium International Sunday and Cadel Evans (BMC Racing) finished fourth to seal his overall win in the two-day race on Corsica, France.

Fédrigo took a heady, four-man sprint atop the Col de l’Ospedale after Evans and Ronaldo Nocentini sprung free from a group of overall contenders with 2km to go.

Fédrigo and Lars Petter Nordhaug bridged across as the two leaders stared each other down and Nocentini opened the sprint with 200 meters to go. Fédrigo easily came around and grabbed a 10-second time bonus, elevating him to second overall, ahead of Michael Rogers, who entered the day tied on time with Evans, but could not carry the pace high up on the climb.

“It’s my first victory wearing the FDJ jersey and I’m delighted,” said Fedrigo.
