Cancellara's Trek Domane
Fabian Cancellara chose to ride the Trek Domane classics bike he helped develop, rather than the new Madone like the rest of his RadioShack-Nissan squad. He simply likes the more comfortable ride, according to Trek representatives. Cancellara also chose to use mechanical Dura-Ace on both his road and time trial bikes, instead of the Di2 used by the rest of his team. We've heard from a team rep, who requested anonymity because the subject is somewhat touchy with sponsor Shimano, that Fabian likes the lever feel of the mechanical group more, and had issues with mis-shifts with Di2, particularly on cobbles. The big Swiss' seat height is 79.5cm, and his reach (saddle tip to center of bars) is 63cm. He rides a 58cm frame. Photo: Caley Fretz | VeloNews.com

The Domane ISO Speed design allows the seat tube to actually move indepenent from the top tube and seatstays, resulting in a bit of suspension that is still isolated from the bottom bracket, so power transfer is not affected. Photo: Caley Fretz | VeloNews.com
