For my innagural run at the Breck Epic 6-day stage race I equipped a Niner JET 9 RDO with components to help me go faster, but also be functional and comfortable. Photo: Logan VonBokel | Singletrack.com

The JET 9, fortunately, has a second bottle cage mount, a feature that's becoming more scarce every year, but something I am very grateful to have. Photo: Logan VonBokel | Singletrack.com

The JET 9 RDO comes in a variety of build options, one of which is the Fox 32 Talas fork. Its adjustablity from 95-120mm of travel is perfect for ripping long descents, or giving a more relaxed position on the flowing singletrack. Photo: Logan VonBokel | Singletrack.com

Ergon's new SM3 Pro saddle was a late addition to my JET 9. I was a bit hesitant to run it as I am very devoted to my Fi'zi:k Antares, but after the first stage I have no complaints. Its got a nice wide nose that allows for several comfortable positions in the saddle. Photo: Logan VonBokel | Singletrack.com

Ever since breaking my hand twice and having a permanent pin inserted in my thumb, I'm unable to ride traditionally shaped grips on long rides. I'm very thankful for Ergon's designs and in this case, the Ergon GS2 Carbons. The GS2 Carbons are lightweight and offer a variety of hand positions in one grip. I opted for some Easton EC90 XC carbon wheels to keep the JET 9 light and agile. Photo: Logan VonBokel | Singletrack.com

Schwalbe Racing Ralphs adorn the Eastons. I also have a backup set of Sun Ringle Black Flags wrapped in Schwalbe's more aggressive Nobby Nics for the rainy days. Photo: Logan VonBokel | Singletrack.com

I was lucky enough to get my hands on two of the limited 1,500 run of Blackburn Designer Series Camber carbon cages. I also opted to carry a Blackburn Airstik 2 hand pump, just in case. Photo: Logan VonBokel | Singletrack.com

My Crank Brothers Candy 3s have been through a couple of 'cross seasons. With a couple of rebuilds each year, they're still as good as new, though they may not look it. Photo: Logan VonBokel | Singletrack.com

My Garmin Edge 500 feeds me evethything I need. My current elevation and distance are key so I know how far I am from the summit and feed zones. Photo: Logan VonBokel | Singletrack.com
