Marianne Vos wins final race, overall in 2012 women’s World Cup

PLOUAY, France (VN) — Marianne Vos put the cherry on top of her 2012 World Cup title on Saturday by winning the series finale, the 135km Grand Prix de Plouay.

The Rabobank rider, who clinched the series title last week, finished more than a half-minute ahead of Tiffany Cromwell (GreenEdge-AIS) and Elisa Longo Borghini (Hitech Products-Mistral Home).

She finished the series with 335 points. Judith Arndt (GreenEdge-AIS) took second overall while American Evelyn Stevens (Specialized-Lululemon) wound up third with 152.
