Lezyne shop tools
Lezyne now makes shop tools and aesthetics are definitely not ignored. Photo: Lennard Zinn | www.VeloNews.com

Cinelli: The Art and Design of the Bicycle
Antonio Colombo shows off the new Rizzoli coffee table book about his company titled: "Cinelli: The Art and Design of the Bicycle". Photo: Lennard Zinn | www.VeloNews.com

1980s Cinelli bicycles
Some of Cinelli’s super fast bicycles were way ahead of their time in the 1980s. Photo: Lennard Zinn | www.VeloNews.com

Cinelli Neos seatpost
The new Cinelli Neos seatpost has an innovative clamping system designed to snug up much more reliably than other cross-bolt designs. Photo: Lennard Zinn | www.VeloNews.com

Gilles Berthoud saddle
The leather top is replaceable on the frame of all Gilles Berthoud saddle by means of Torx screws around the back that are over the rear curve so you’re not sitting on them. The frame has a tension adjustment for the leather cover. Photo: Lennard Zinn | www.VeloNews.com

Cyclus Campy crank and bearing tools
Cyclus makes separate tools to pull the arms off of Campagnolo carbon and aluminum Power-Torque cranks, remove the bearings from Campy Ultra-Torque and Power-Torque cranks, and install the bearings. Photo: Lennard Zinn | www.VeloNews.com

Fizik R1
Fizik has redesigned its entire shoe line for 2013, both road and mountain. The $400 R1 weighs 230 grams and has a kangaroo-leather upper complementing its carbon sole. Photo: Lennard Zinn | www.VeloNews.com

Fizik R3
The Fizik R3 is dubbed “the race machine," because at 220 grams and $300, it’s cheaper and lighter than the R1 top model. A mesh upper replaces the R1’s kangaroo leather upper, and it has the same carbon sole as the R1. Photo: Lennard Zinn | www.VeloNews.com

Fizik R5
Fizik’s entry-level shoe is the $200 R5, which still weighs a svelte 250 grams. It has a Nylon outsole. Photo: Lennard Zinn | www.VeloNews.com

De Rosa Scattofisso
The De Rosa Scattofisso titanium fixie is gorgeous, retro and modern, all at the same time. Photo: Lennard Zinn | www.VeloNews.com

Selle San Marco Ass Saver
Saved my ass: Selle San Marco’s Ass Savers were exactly that for me at Eurobike. Commuting in the rain on my bike 30-90 minutes each way, plus a three-day ride afterward were much better with this little fender. The short end slides under the saddle above the seatpost clamp; the hooks grab the rails, and the tip can be trimmed depending on length of the saddle. It weighs just 15 grams. SKS S-Blade
The SKS S-Blade fender was a great benefit to the two buddies I rode with from the show to Lugano in southern Switzerland. We encountered much rain, and this was a worthwhile 115 grams added to the bike. It clamps securely around the seatpost with an adjustable cam lock, and it’s hinged at the clamp to conform to the rear tire. Photo: Lennard Zinn | www.VeloNews.com

SKS S-Blade
Stiffening ribs under the SKS S-Blade fender keep it stiff over the rear tire with low weight. I still managed to put a twist in the tail of it in my bike box on the way home. Photo: Lennard Zinn | www.VeloNews.com

Enve wheelsets
Enve for the King. In part due to the fact that both wheelsets have five-year warranties on the hubs and on the rims, Enve Smart System 3.4/Chris King R45 and DH wheelsets won the Eurobike awards for 2012 for best road wheel and best mountain bike wheel. Photo: Lennard Zinn | www.VeloNews.com

Chris King R45
All Chris King hubs now are available with hybrid ceramic bearings. Also, going forward, all King hubs will have 11-speed freehub bodies (still with 45 points of engagement); simply put a spacer behind the cogset if you’re running 10 or nine speeds. The R45 is now available down to 16 spoke holes. Photo: Lennard Zinn | www.VeloNews.com

Reynolds carbon clinchers
Deep, fast, and clinched-on: Reynolds new aero carbon clinchers come in 58mm, 72mm and 90mm depths with aero shapes derived from the wind tunnel mated to the tires. The sharp point allows the DET (Dispersive Effect Termination) to work and reduce drag, while the CTg layup on the braking service combined with Reynold Cryo-Blue brake pads, dramatically reduces braking temperatures. Weights are 1580 grams/pair, 1680 grams/pair, and 1875 grams/pair, respectively; all have DT Swiss hubs. Photo: Lennard Zinn | www.VeloNews.com

Chris King staff commuters
The Cielos of the Chris King crew made the rainy commute to the show every day. Note the beer in the bottle carrier to soften the ride. Photo: Lennard Zinn | www.VeloNews.com

Coke-bottle parking brake
Work of the Devil? Note the bottle of Coke as the Devil’s parking brake. You don’t want that giant bike he built rolling down the Tourmalet when he’s jumping up and down with his pitchfork cheering Tour de France riders! Photo: Lennard Zinn | www.VeloNews.com
