Trek World Racing sat down with Aaron Gwin before the world championship race to discuss his improvements on muddy terrain and his aspirations for the worlds.
Rightfully confident going into the race, Gwin has dominated the men’s downhill World Cup. An early mechanical in the world championship race in Leogang, Austria sent him toppling from his tower to finish 83rd.
His words before the race speak for themselves. As a racer who prides himself on consistency, for Gwin the championships don’t decide a true champion, but are just one race among many.
