The new Swiss Pro Continental IAM Cycling squad will race aboard Scott bicycles in 2013, Scott announced Monday. Italian manufacturer Wilier Triestina will supply bikes to two American teams in 2013.

The men’s Exergy squad and women’s team Vanderkitten will both be aboard Wilier frames next season, according to a statement from Wilier.

“We wanted to send a clear message: the sport is beautiful, it is comprised primarily of good, hard working people,” Wilier USA president Angelo Cilli said. “Working with Team Exergy and Team Vanderkitten, in addition to our recently announced commitment to Team Colombia, is our way of showing that commitment within the sport.”

The 106-year-old Italian manufacturer, responsible for the BB386EVO bottom bracket standard, supplied its frames to the WorldTour’s Lampre for 10 years, during which it won the world road championship under Alessandro Ballan in 2008. The team announced last month that it would ride Merida frames in 2013.

“Wilier’s history and commitment to racing are well known, but I think their commitment to advancing technology has never been more evident than in the last few years,” said Exergy manager Remi McManus. “The innovation that they have brought to market… will be a distinct advantage for the team in 2013.”

IAM Cycling joins with Scott

The newly-formed Swiss IAM Cycling squad will make its debut aboard Scott bikes. The manufacturer also sponsors WorldTour squad Orica-GreenEdge and Swiss mountain bike squad Scott-Swisspower.

“We are more than excited to work with IAM Cycling,” Scott Sports vice president Pascal Ducrot said Monday in a statement. “We believe in fostering young talent and working closely with our teams on product development. With Orica-GreenEdge and this new Swiss team riding for us, we are able to achieve these goals and push ourselves further than ever before.”
