Armstrong has three weeks to appeal UCI sanctions — Chicago Tribune
The Chicago Tribune reports that the UCI on Monday officially notified Lance Armstrong that it had stripped the embattled Texan of his seven Tour titles and all other results gained after August 1, 1998.
The UCI had ratified USADA’s lifetime sanction against Armstrong in October and removed his Tour titles from the record books, however this latest move constitutes an official removal of the 41-year-old’s results from August 1998 onward.
“Lance Armstrong’s lawyer was notified on 6th December that all his results since 1st August 1998 were nullified. He has 21 days to appeal (from that date),” said UCI spokesperson Enrico Carpani, according to the report.
