2013 Tour Down Under tech - BMC's TMR01
We saw BMC's TMR01 a few times in 2012, first under George Hincapie at the Dauphiné, but it wasn't used much. For 2013, more riders will be using the aero road frame, and two riders had theirs at the Tour Down Under. Photo: Caley Fretz | VeloNews.com

2013 Tour Down Under tech - Kashechkin's stem
File this one under "strange." Andrey Kashechkin rides with this custom-made 165mm stem on his Specialized S-Works SL4, slammed all the way down to the headset cap. Must be a lanky fellow. Photo: Caley Fretz | VeloNews.com

2013 Tour Down Under tech - adjustable brakes
The TRP-built brakes on stock Propel bikes use shims to adjust for various rim widths. The pro version have this very quick and easy adjustment — put the noodle in the left hole for to close the brakes down, and the right side to open them up. The quick adjustment is a requirement for pro riders who are likely to take neutral wheels of various sizes. Photo: Caley Fretz | VeloNews.com
