Aldo Ilesic (UnitedHealthcare) and Amanda Miller (Tibco-To the Top) won their respective events on Saturday at the Air Force Association Cycling Classic’s Clarendon Cup in Arlington, Va.

Ilesic out-sped Jamis-Hagens Berman teammates Demis Aleman and Luis Amaran, who finished second and third, respectively, after their breakaway lapped the field.

“After we lapped the field, the whole team stayed in front and kept me in perfect position and then we just rode it like a normal race. The guys led me out, and as we came out of the last turn, we had a huge gap on everyone else and we were able to come away with the win,” said Ilesic.

Miller likewise lapped the field as half of a two-woman break with Allison Arensman (Pepper Palace), then took the two-up sprint. Laura Van Gilder (Mellow Mushroom) finished third.
