Verge, Shimano series announce dates

Organizers on Tuesday announced the 2013 dates for a pair of major New England cyclocross series. The Verge New England Cyclocross Series and Shimano New England Professional Cyclocross Series return in September and will crown amateur and elite champions on December 8 at the NBX Gran Prix of Cyclocross in Warwick, Rhode Island.

The Verge series opens September 14 at the Green Mountain Cyclocross Weekend in Williston, Vermont, and includes six race weekends. The series features amateur categories and shares four dates with the Shimano series, which opens September 28 with the Great Brewers Gran Prix of Cyclocross in Essex County, Massachusetts.
