Crow revealed blood transfusion details to feds — New York Daily News

Wheelmen, written by Wall Street Journal reporters Reed Albergotti and Vanessa O’Connell, is due out next Tuesday and offers more details about Armstrong’s doping past.

In one excerpt obtained by the Daily News, Crow allegedly traveled to Belgium with Armstrong, who she was dating at the time, on his private jet in 2004. There, she watched the cyclist receive a blood transfusion.

“Rather than try to hide the transfusion from her, Armstrong was completely open about it,” the book reads, according to the Daily News. “He trusted that Crow would have no desire to tell the press or anyone else about the team’s doping program. He explained that it was simply part of the sport — that all cyclists were doing the same thing.”

Crow and Armstrong split up two years later.

According to the story, Crow was given immunity by Food and Drug Administration criminal investigator Jeff Novitzky in exchange for her cooperation. She allegedly told him about the transfusion three years ago.
