Kirsten Wild won her second stage in three days and regained the overall lead Thursday at the Ladies Tour of Qatar. Wild (Argos-Shimano) was fastest out of a late escape in the 93-kilometer third stage, from the Katara Cultural Village to Al Khor Corniche.
Lizzie Armitstead (Boels Dolmans) was second and Chloe Hosking (Hitec Products) was third.
Wild reclaimed the leader’s jersey from teammate Amy Pieters, winner of stage 2, and now leads Pieters by nine seconds. Hosking is third, at 21 seconds.
The Ladies Tour of Qatar wraps up Friday with the 85km fourth stage, from the Sealine Beach Resort to Doha Corniche. The stage closes with five laps in Doha.
