After an impressive performance in stage 5’s uphill finish Thursday, Katie Hall claimed the final pink leader’s jersey in the Tour Femenino de San Luis, as the race wrapped up with a flat sixth stage in its namesake city in Argentina Friday.

Cuba’s Arlenis Sierra won the day and secured her GC finish as third overall, while UnitedHealthcare committed its formidable squad to defending Hall’s lead. Ale-Cipollini’s Malgorzata Jasinska finished second overall, taking four seconds out of the 24-second lead Hall had at the beginning of the day, but never posing a true threat.

For the 29-year-old American, it was a career-first GC stage race win, after she came close last year, finishing second overall at Tour of the Gila in New Mexico. The victory was a nice bookend for the UHC outfit, which celebrated a stage 1 win, courtesy of Coryn Rivera on Sunday.
