Enve issues recall on carbon road disc forks

Check the serial number on the steerer tube of your Enve carbon road disc fork. If it matches the numbers listed, it’s part of a recall Enve has launched for close to 600 carbon fiber, road disc forks, which were manufactured in Vietnam and sold at dealers for about $540 each from June 2014 through December 2015.

The affected forks are Enve’s Carbon Fiber Road Fork 2.0 Disc, 1.25-inch taper models. Serial numbers begin with:

The left fork leg can crack above the disc brake mount. While it appears no one has been injured due to the failure, Enve has received reports of several failures, prompting a recall. Fork owners can contact Enve to receive a full refund or replacement of the fork and headset.

To initiate your recall claim, fill out the voluntary fork recall form. You can also call (877) 358-2869, or email Enve.

The Consumer Product Safety Commission has more information about the recall here.
